Parents may wish to provide instruments from other sources however it is recommended that if the internet is used be very wary of cheap instruments. “You get what you pay for”.

Please note that general policy is that violin and guitar are not part of the band membership although advance students may join their school band

​​

​Bass guitars and guitars are available to purchase from Artist Guitars, Petersham, www.artistguitars.com.au, who are extremely competitive and have served us well over the past few years. They provide free postage. Bass guitar students should ensure they request three-quarter size bass guitars and 15 watt ampplifier.

Structure of the Program

  • Students attend one half hour group tutorial each week.

  • Lessons take place at school  at a time determined in consultation with classroom teachers

  • The concert band rehearses for one hour each week. The rehearsals are a vital and compulsory element of the program. Failure to attend results in falling behind the other students.

  • Strings and guitars will have separate rehearsals. 

 

Costs Involved

​

  • The cost of tuition and band fees is $170 including GST payable on receipt of an invoice at the start of each term.

  • This fee covers all tuition, rehearsals and performances.
